The Research Contracts Officer will take responsibility for the timely and efficient management of ICTM research contracts as well as provide advice and support to Academic and trial staff on contractual matters. S/he will be required to respond to and effectively manage conflicting demands, have a significant role in the contract process from drafting and negotiating right through to affecting the eventual contract signature. They will also be required to work closely in collaboration with colleagues within the Institute and across other departments within UCL. This is a new post and offers an exciting opportunity for someone to play an influential role in the development of the contract service provision in ICTM. It is intended that the post-holder will independently manage their own allocation of research contracts.
The ideal candidate will have solid Post Qualification Experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively while under pressure, both independently as well as within a team. The role is ideally suited to an individual who has the ability to liaise at all levels both internally and externally in verbal and written forms of communication. Experience of working with academics/scientists within a Higher Education, a research organization, or similar environment, is desirable.
