Fixed-Term (12 Months)

The Department of Psychology is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Lecturer with expertise in Health Psychology to join our team of academic staff in the world-class Centre for Clinical and Community Applications of Health Psychology (CCCAHP).

You will hold a PhD in a Health Psychology related topic (or an equivalent professional qualification). You will also be able to evidence excellence in teaching in Health Psychology. In addition to teaching and supervising undergraduates and postgraduates, you will be able to contribute to the administration and on-going development of the Department of Psychology. You will demonstrate an ability to engage in high quality research and to develop a national reputation for excellent research in a field related to the core interests of CCCAHP members (see: https://www.southampton.ac.uk/psychology/research/centres/cccahp.page).

Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in qualitative research, those registered with the HCPC as a Health Psychologist and candidates who are chartered members of the BPS (a full member or eligible for full membership of the Division of Health Psychology).

You will be responsible to the Co-Director, Centre for Clinical and Community Applications of Health Psychology, and will have the capacity to register to study for the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PCAP) where relevant.
