The Scientific Computing Group of Prof. Christian Bischof at the Technische Universität Darmstadt (www.sc.tu-darmstadt.de) is looking for a promising candidate either with a Masters or Diploma degree wanting to pursue doctoral studies, or with a doctoral degree wanting to pursue postdoctoral studies, in the area of cryptography algorithms.
The position is available immediately and initially limited to a 3-year appointment.
We expect the following qualifications:
- Diploma/masters, or doctorate degree, comparable to a German University degree, in computer science, computational science, or a related discipline
- Experience in parallel programming and parallel algorithms
- Fundamentals in numerical computing
- Knowledge in the use of MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, or OpenCL
- Some familiarity with tools for parallel program analysis
- Good command of the English language
In this position, you will work on developing efficient algorithms and implementations, as well as performance models, for lattice-based cryptography in the context of the joint research center CROSSING (Cryptography-Based Security Solutions: Enabling Trust in New and Next Generation Computing Environments, (www.crossing.tu-darmstadt.de) which is working on the development of cryptography solutions for the post-quantum age.
