A software engineer is sought to support the Adaptive Brain Lab (http://www.abg.psychol.cam.ac.uk) at the Department of Psychology, University of Cambridge, UK.
The lab focuses on understanding the neural basis of human cognition using a combination of behavioral, computational and brain imaging techniques (fMRI, TMS, EEG). The team consists of an international and interdisciplinary mix of students and post-docs who use specialist equipment (display devices, eye trackers, brain imaging equipment) and has strong links with researchers in Computer Science and Engineering as well as with industrial partners.
The role involves facilitating the work of the research team by developing software for research projects in cognitive and computational neuroscience.
A bachelor's (or higher) degree in computer science, engineering, math or other related field is required. Strong computer programming skills (especially MATLAB, C++, OpenGL) are required.
Excellent organisation skills, the ability to provide training and support to others, and the ability to maintain strong local and international working relationships are essential.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance with the possibility of extension until September 2022.
