Grade 7: £31,076 - £38,183 with a discretionary range to £41,709 p.a.

Are you an experienced grant writer or research manager of public policy related research? Do you want to work in a dynamic and highly professional working environment where real world policy development is at the heart of all activities? If so, the Blavatnik School of Government wants to hear from you.

This role will be focused on supporting our faculty and researchers with the development of grant applications so as to maximise the chances of success. The post holder will be responsible for the development and management of grant applications; establishing networks within the Blavatnik School and across the University to enable faculty to develop research partnerships, relationships and funding opportunities; developing research impact and dissemination opportunities; maintaining compliance; and supporting the School’s Research Ethics Committee. As this is a School of Government, the research facilitator must, in particular, work with faculty to ensure research has both excellent academic impact alongside impact on real world policy deliberations and developments. The development of research is a current strategic priority for the Blavatnik School and this is an exciting and important role at the core of this key objective.

The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree or equivalent research qualification in social sciences with relevant training in research design and methods. You will have previous grant writing and budget development experience. You will be proactive and able to prioritise tasks effectively in a very demanding and highly professional work environment. You will demonstrate a high level of tact and diplomacy skills evidenced from working effectively with academic, research and administrative staff and be a team player who is able to work without close supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as well as good IT skills and the ability to manage data effectively.
