Based at the IC2 building and working in partnership with research collaborators in Liverpool, and ILRI, Nairobi Kenya, you will focus on developing and testing frameworks of data collection and capture for assessing cost-effectiveness of zoonotic disease surveillance in Kenya. The work will involve periods of travel and fieldwork in Kenya and co-ordination with national governments, international agencies and local researchers. The data collected and captured will provide critical information on which surveillance methods and approaches are most effective for zoonotic diseases in multispecies systems. You should have a PhD in agricultural economics, health economics or economics and have expertise in qualitative and quantitative data collection in human and/or animal health. The post is available until 30 September 2019.
