Unit: Engineering
Sub Unit: Bio and Environmental Engineering
We are seeking a dynamic and independent researcher to deliver a programme of research around energy systems. You will investigate frameworks for energy models, model energy networks and work with demonstrators to validate energy models.
You will have a PhD awarded in a related topic and experience in energy network modelling, scenario development, energy management and optimal control of energy resources. Knowledge of energy system optimisation models (e.g. MARKAL, UK TIMES), power system models (e.g. IPSA) or heat systems models (e.g. TRNSYS) is advantageous.
You will be based in the £20m EPSRC National Centre for Energy Systems Integration.
The post is available fixed term for 2 years and is full time
