The Department of History seeks to appoint a Chair of History with an international reputation in the field who will complement and extend our existing areas of research and teaching. We are looking for an outstanding scholar who wishes to join a diverse team. You will demonstrate a commitment to the management and leadership of high-quality research alongside learning & teaching (this post will teach at undergraduate or postgraduate levels). You will have a proven track record of securing substantial research funding to enable you to secure future research grants, have a portfolio of high-quality publications that are recognised as internationally excellent, and produce collaborative work that has an impact on users beyond the Higher Education sector.

You may be a specialist in any area of History from c. 1450 CE down to the present day. You should be able to demonstrate the quality of your teaching and ability to act as a collegiate member of a team.
