We are looking to appoint an exceptional individual to provide proactive, high-level administrative support to the Deputy Principal (Education) and the senior education leadership team, as they implement an ambitious Education & Students strategic plan for St George’s. This is a varied job with activities across four main domains: project administration, executive assistant support, information management & communication, and office management.
The Deputy Principal (Education) is also the Director of the Institute of Medical & Biomedical Education (IMBE). The essential support provided by the postholder will span both roles, and include a level of support for a dynamic leadership team comprising IMBE Heads of Centre/Operations and Deans/Associate Deans.
Key attributes of the successful applicant will include:
- Successful track record of providing a professional PA service or demonstrable equivalent experience in administration
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with an ability to juggle competing priorities
- Excellent written communication skills, including servicing committees and writing minutes.
- Good interpersonal communication skills, with a friendly, can-do attitude to people at all levels.
- Enthusiasm for community-building and fostering good communication networks
- Ability to work with highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Initiative and a self-starter with ability to work unsupervised.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, including when under pressure.
The salary for the role will be within the range of SGUL Grade 5: £25,728 - £31,604 plus £3,027 London Allowance.
