Location: University Park

Salary: £26,495 to £28,936 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited from individuals with a Masters degree (merit or above) and excellent academic records of achievement for the position of Research Assistant within the Maternal Health and Wellbeing Research Group in the School of Health Sciences. The Research Assistant will be part of a team led by Prof Helen Spiby engaged in the development of Evidence Based Guidance for women in labour, commissioned by the Royal College of Midwives.

It is anticipated that the candidate will have extensive experience of literature searching and training in systematic reviews. The candidate will demonstrate an interest in care during labour, together with an ability to engage with a wide range of advisers and stakeholders.

The Research Assistant will be responsible for identifying and synthesizing information from a wide range of sources, contributing to systematic reviews and the development of evidence based guidance for care during labour. In addition, excellent team working skills, organisational and communication skills are required.

This part-time post (21.75 hours per week) is fixed-term for a period of 12 months to begin as soon as possible.
