Centre for Molecular Oncology

Applications are sought for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant (PDRA) to work on a novel prostate cancer biomarker project and join a vibrant and exciting new translational prostate cancer research programme led by Dr. Prabhakar Rajan at the Centre for Molecular Oncology, within the world-class Barts Cancer Institute (BCI) at the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London. Led through an exciting new collaboration between Dr. Rajan and Dr. Gerhardt Attard at the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), London, the project brings together unique world-leading translational research expertise in RNA biology with an internationally-renowned liquid biopsy-driven biomarker discovery programme (PMIDs: 26537258 and 25232177).

Essential requirements for the post include a PhD and an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject, as well as significant laboratory research experience in cell and molecular biology and/or molecular genetics. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records are essential.

The post is a fulltime, fixed-term position for 3 years. Starting salary will be in the Grade 4 or Grade 5 range £32,405 - £42,431 per annum dependent on experience and inclusive of London Allowance.
