Centre for Molecular Onbcology
Applications are sought for a postdoctoral research assistant to investigate the prognositic value of circulating megakaryocytes and tumour cells in human cancers, including ovarian, lung and other cancers (initial data published recently in Clinical Cancer Research with broad news coverage). The successful applicant should have a PhD training in relevant subject area. The research will be based in the Centre for Molecular Oncology, Barts Cancer Institute, within the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary, University of London.
Essential requirements for this post include knowledge of biomarker study and experience in translational molecular study and microscopic analysis of tissues/cells with good publication(s). Previous experience in biomarker study and cancer translational research would be advantages. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work efficiently individually and within a team and maintain good laboratory records are also essential.
The post is full time for 12 months. Starting salary will be in the range £32,405 - £36,064 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, a defined benefit pension scheme and an interest free season ticket loan.
