Detail information about job Senior Clinical Research Fellow. Terms and conditions vacancy
The Medical Research Council’s Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) at UCL is one of the UK’s leading centres for clinical research. It conducts national and international clinical trials, meta-analyses and epidemiological studies mainly in cancer and infectious diseases. It is also part of national network of eight regional Hubs for Trials Methodology Research, established by the MRC, to develop new and improved methods for the design, conduct and analysis of clinical trials.
A clinical fellowship within the Cancer Group offers an exciting opportunity to experience all aspects of the clinical trial process, from design and initiation of new projects, trial management, analysis and publication. The post holder will provide clinical input into one of the Cancer Group’s large ongoing phase III trials (STAMPEDE, Add-Aspirin) and develop a research project based around the trial leading to a MD thesis related to their clinical interest. It is expected that the post-holder will maintain their clinical skills through a weekly outpatient session.
In the first instance this post is funded for three years.
You must be medically qualified with experience of working at the level of a specialist registrar in a relevant medical specialty such as medical or clinical oncology.
