As the top modern university in Scotland for Research Power, our Centre for Climate Justice is a strategically positioned research centre which is taking a global lead in the delivery of high quality policy relevant research for development, teaching and learning and broadening knowledge in the area of climate justice. We work in partnerships to create innovative solutions to real world problems.

This exciting fixed term opportunity to join the team taking on a key leading research position in the roll out of its research portfolio is now available.

Candidates will be expected to have specialist knowledge and expertise in social/climate justice, human impacts of climate change, resilience and adaptation which will complement existing areas of research strength within the Centre.

The successful candidate will have a PhD with relevant experience in post graduate research student supervision, leading and delivering research projects or programmes (including reporting and financial management), attracting research funding and track record of journal publications commensurate with career. Whilst proficient at academic writing, the preferred candidate will also be a critical thinker with excellent team leadership and communication skills.

The role will require working using their own initiative and may be required to travel to national and international meetings as and when required.
