Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate to work in the Centre for Neuroinflammation and Neurodegeneration within the Division of Brain Sciences, based at the Hammersmith Campus. This position, funded by the Medical Research Council, will support a Research Associate in the centre of Neuroinflammation and Neurodegeneration led by Professor Paola Piccini. S/he will also be working closely with clinicians and PET radiographers within Imperial College Healthcare NHS and IMANOVA. The project involves neuroimaging (Positron Emission Tomography and MRI), motor and neuropsychological assessments of patients affected by Parkinson’s disease who have undergone cell transplantation therapy.
The person appointed to this post will hold a good first degree in neuroscience or other related disciplines and have previous experience with imaging research and clinical trials. S/he will also have experience in accurately recording experimental data and good statistical analysis as well as writing up the findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
This post is full-time, fixed-term for 12 months, with a possibility of extension.
