Detail information about job Research Associate - Experimental and Behavioural Economics - B84580R. Terms and conditions vacancy

This Post is a full-time fixed term appointment from 2 November 2017 – 31 August 2019.

A post-doctoral researcher is required to assist Professor Daniel Zizzo in the conduct of research activities as well as in acting as the Newcastle Coordinator for the Behavioural and Experimental Northeast Cluster (BENC), under Professor Zizzo’s direction. There will also be an opportunity for the post-holder to conduct independent research.

BENC was started in 2014 as a joint initiative of Newcastle and Durham Universities to promote and facilitate experimental and behavioural research in the domains of academia, policy and business, promoting the international visibility of Northeast England as leader in these areas. We run a very successful seminar series and the Coordinator oversees the Experimental and Behavioural Economics Lab within Newcastle University Business School. BENC members publish in top outlets including the American Economic Review, Management Science, the Economic Journal, the European Economic Review, Games and Economic Behavior, the Journal of Public Economics, International Economic Review, Experimental Economics, the American Economic Journal: Microeconomics, the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Organization Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and many others.

The successful candidate should have a PhD in Economics or equivalent qualification, or be nearing completion.

Informal enquiries should be directed to Professor Daniel Zizzo at [email protected].

Interviews are provisionally scheduled to take place on Monday 30th October.
