We are seeking a postdoctoral scientist to join our team of Mathematical Immunologists at Imperial College London under the guidance of Dr Becca Asquith.

You will work on an interdisciplinary project, funded by the Wellcome Trust, which is a collaboration between theorists, clinicians and experimental immunologists.

The aim of the project is to investigate the dynamics of CD8+ T cell control of chronic virus infections including human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1), hepatitis C virus (HCV) and human T cell leukaemia virus (HTLV-1). The post holder will be responsible for the mathematical modelling of patient data resulting from a range of experiments.

Applications must have a PhD in Mathematical Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Bioinformatics or similar. Previous experience of mathematical or experimental immunology would be an advantage. A commitment to interdisciplinary science, an interest in modelling experimental data and an enthusiasm for communicating with experts outside your field is essential.

This is a full-time post which is currently fixed-term until 30th September 2019. For informal enquiries about the role, please contact Dr Becca Asquith ([email protected]).
