This is an exciting opportunity for an industry standard specialist in bespoke tailoring to play a pivotal role in the academic leadership of the Bespoke Tailoring Course at a world leading centre in fashion design.
As the Acting Course Leader for Bespoke Tailoring, you will contribute to the academic mission and management of the course, including the maintenance and enhancement of standards, as well as taking responsibility for the design, development, and delivery of the curriculum.
You will lead the curriculum as well as all areas of learning, teaching, and assessment, providing a strong vision for the course to continue its development whilst maintaining and enhancing quality.
You will also lead, manage, and support the academic staff responsible for the delivery of the course, promoting and maintaining appropriate educational and professional standards, as well as ensuring the highest possible standards of the student experience.
You’ll have a relevant degree along with teaching and learning experience and/or equivalent substantive industry experience in bespoke tailoring, with specialist skills in bespoke tailoring techniques/methods.
Working with and leading a team, you will be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing, and be able to motivate and lead the team effectively, setting clear objectives to manage performance.
