This is a full time, fixed term appointmnet for 1 year.

The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences is looking to appoint a confident and creative Marketing and Communications Officer to promote the new Oxford School of Nursing and Midwifery (OSNM), and its research arm, the Oxford Institute of Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Research (OxINMAHR). The purpose of the role is to build the reputation of the school and OxINMAHR and to celebrate and showcase the School's and OxINMAHR's achievements and future visions.

The Oxford School of Nursing and Midwifery is a partnership between Oxford Brookes University, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, under the umbrella of the Oxford Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC.) Our vision is to be the exemplar model in the UK for Nursing and Midwifery that integrates education, research and clinical practice.

You should have:

  • Experience in a marketing or PR related post
  • Experience of content creation for a wide range of communications platforms
  • Experience with digital marketing including social media and email marketing
  • Experience of managing a wide range of stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammatical competence, and an ability to clearly communicate complex information
  • Excellent proof reading skills and a commitment to quality
  • A pro-active approach to seeking out key news stories
  • Proven interest in current affairs and the media

The role will be based at our Headington campus, with time split between our Marston Road site and our Headington Road site.
