A postdoctoral position is available in Dr Eva Gluenz’s group at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, University of Oxford to study the role of flagellar proteins in the virulence of Leishmania parasites. The project will involve a combination of cell biology and biochemistry and will be supported by genetic tools we have recently developed for Leishmania. This is a fixed-term appointment for up to 36 months in the first instance.
Applicants should hold a PhD in a biological sciences subject and have a strong track record in biochemistry or molecular cell biology, as demonstrated by publications in high-quality journals. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, organised, has excellent communication skills and is able to work independently as well as part of a team.
