Detail information about job Research Fellow. Terms and conditions vacancy
We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic Research Fellow to join Chris Ponting’s group at the MRC Human Genetics Unit, Edinburgh.
You would be joining an internationally successful research group investigating DNA variants and molecular mechanisms that causally alter risk of complex disease.
The post-holder will use diverse experimental technologies, such as massively parallel reporter assays (MPRAs) with CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing of standard cell lines, to interrogate gene regulatory networks. These networks contain a large number of regulatory elements identified using a combination of transcription factor binding assays and two sample Mendelian randomisation approaches. Research undertaken will be highly cross-disciplinary and in partnership with computational biologists.
Informal enquiries may be made to [email protected]
This post is available on a fixed term basis for 3 years.
