Ulster University and the Northern Health and Social Care Trust wish to appoint an outstanding individual to the position of Lecturer in Physician Associate Education (Ulster University) and Physician Associate (Northern Health and Social Care Trust). This is a joint recruitment exercise and the successful applicant will be offered both a part-time contract (50% of full-time) with Ulster University and a part-time contract (50% of full-time) with the Northern Health and Social Care Trust. The two contracts are linked and it is a requirement that the appointee holds a contract with both the University and the Trust.
As a Lecturer with Ulster University the appointee will undertake teaching and assessment at postgraduate level on modules that lead to a qualification as a Physician Associate. The salary scale for a Lecturer is £33,963 to £48,355.
As a Physician Associate with the Northern Health and Social Care Trust the appointee will provide assistance to the Consultants and specialist Registrars in the provision of high quality, patient centred services. They will be expected to participate in all aspects of the patient pathway as appropriate and will be expected to perform delegated duties with a high degree of clinical skills and knowledge. The salary scale for a Physician Associate is £31,072 to £40,964 pa.
