Applications are invited for a BBSRC-funded Senior Research Associate at the School of Computing Sciences, University of East Anglia with Prof. Vincent Moulton and Dr. Tamas Dalmay, School of Biological Sciences.
You will be involved in the design and development of computational tools for the analysis of data generated in cutting-edge, high-throughput, short RNA sequencing projects for a BBSRC funded project. You will work within the UEA Computational Biology Laboratory, which is involved in providing ground-breaking techniques for analysing RNA sequences and structures (see http://srna-tools.cmp.uea.ac.uk/).
You will not necessarily require a background in biology, but will have or expect to be awarded a PhD (or equivalent qualification) in computing science, bioinformatics or related discipline, and you will have strong programming and software development skills. You must also be able to fulfil all essential elements of the person specification.
The full time post is available from immediately for a fixed term period until 16 March 2018.
