This post is available for 30 months in the first instance to undertake original research into cancer cell phenotype plasticity within the Data Intensive Biomedicine group led by Dr Ian Overton within the Centre. Systems medicine, statistical and machine learning approaches will be applied to gain insights into Epithelial to Mesenchymal Transition (EMT), metastasis and drug response/resistance. Quantitative models will be established to enable discovery of novel therapeutic strategies, including combination therapy prediction, also to develop candidate diagnostic tools for more effective and personalised medicine.
