A postdoctoral position is available until February 2020 for a highly motivated scientist to study the role of non-coding RNA in cardiovascular disease. The focus will be on the importance of miR143HG long non-coding RNA in vascular pathophysiology, with an emphasis on pulmonary hypertension. This will involve analysis of both microRNA and long non-coding RNA in vitro, in vivo and in human biological samples and is in collaboration with Professor Nick Morrell, Cambridge.
Applicants must have a PhD and appropriate experience indicated by publications in international peer reviewed journals. You must possess excellent organisational skills and be capable if individual initiative and of interacting as part of a team. Laboratory skills required include experience in virology, particularly interactions of virus with the host.
