This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team within the Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit (NCTU). The person appointed will support the Director of the NCTU and the Operations Team in developing and running the Unit’s expanding programme of high quality clinical trials of national and international relevance.
The post holder will be part of a multidisciplinary NCTU project development team that supports chief investigators in developing their trial protocol and preparing high quality grant applications. A significant responsibility is to lead a team of trial management staff responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of clinical trial projects. They will work closely with the other team leaders to provide effective oversight of NCTU operational management, ensuring effective, high quality and timely project delivery and publication. Over time, s/he will be expected to develop a portfolio of trial methodology-related research.
Candidates should have PhD or equivalent and/or degree in health related sciences or extensive experience in clinical trials research. The successful candidate must have excellent project management skills, be an effective people manager, and possess excellent knowledge and expertise in the design, conduct and delivery of trials. In addition an ability to communicate and work effectively across different disciplines is essential.
This is a full-time post (36.25 hours per week), preferably, however application are invited from candidates wanting to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please indicate on your application if you wish to be considered for this role on a part-time basis.
