The post holder will join our multidisciplinary team, and play a key role in delivering high quality clinical trials at the Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit (NCTU). The unit designs and conducts high quality national and international multicentre trials across a range of health topics collaborating with clinicians and academics within the University and local and national NHS trusts.

The unit is seeking to recruit a clinical trial monitor to be part of our multidisciplinary team and to work closely with the Chief Investigators, other researchers, clinicians and site staff to ensure protocol compliant and timely recruitment to trials. The post holder may also be responsible for supervising the activities of other members of the research team.

Candidates should have a degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject along with experience in a clinical research environment within a research management and governance setting, or significant experience as a clinical trial monitor or clinical research associate. They should have experience of working within multidisciplinary teams with excellent presentation and communication skills, with an ability to apply extensive working knowledge to address complex problems and challenges. A comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of governance and legislation for the conduct of clinical trials (including GCP) is required.

This is a full-time post offered on a fixed-term contract until 29th March 2019, however applications are welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time to a minimum of 0.8 fte, 29 hours per week. Please indicate on your application the hours you wish to work.
