Working under supervision, you will be involved in general husbandry of animals including; feeding, watering and carrying out of routine procedures to ensure the hygiene of animal accommodation as well as the general upkeep of the facility.
You will enjoy working with animals, with previous experience working with or caring for animals. You will be positive, reliable and able to interact with team colleagues and research staff. You will have a good general education with GCSE English, Mathematics and a Science (or equivalent) as well as NVQ or Diploma in Animal Welfare / Animal Husbandry (desirable). You may also have minimal experience in a technical/laboratory setting.
The post is available immediately and subject to the satisfactory completion of a 3 month probationary period.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment and a security check.
