We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly organised Studentships and Graduate Studies Officer for a period of maternity cover to start as soon as possible for up to 12 months. This could be offered as a secondment opportunity.
The role will be suitable for someone with excellent organisational ability, strong communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail, and integrity. The position involves extensive contact with a broad range of individuals, requiring high levels of customer service.
The Studentships and Graduate Studies Officer is a full-time Grade 5 post within the Social Sciences Division. The postholder will report to the Graduate Studies Coordinator and work closely with, and be matrix managed by, the Studentships and Doctoral Training Partnership Manager.
The postholder will provide effective support for the administration of Research Councils UK studentships, providing guidance to students and departments, and assisting in the management of financial processes. They will also administer the on-course processes relating to students on graduate programmes for a number of departments/units across the Social Sciences Division including the formal servicing of the Graduate Studies Committee of at least one department. Approximately 50% of their time will be spent on studentships administration and 50% on graduate administration.
