Detail information about job Research Nurse Facilitators - The CHESS study: Chronic Headache Education and Self-management Study. Terms and conditions vacancy
Location: Midlands
Variable Hours contract
We are recruiting nurse facilitators to co-deliver a group self-management intervention in community venues, alongside an Allied Health Professional facilitator.
The study is a multi-centre randomised controlled trial comparing a group self-management intervention with a relaxation control for participants living with chronic headache (headache on 15 or more days a month for at least three months). The study aims to test the effectiveness and cost effectiveness of these interventions. The study will be run in two regions across the UK (the Midlands and London).
Successful applicants will be trained to deliver the intervention, which comprises:
- A two day group programme, co-delivered with an AHP facilitator.
- One-to-one consultations with participants to classify headaches, discuss medication and headache management.
- Follow-up telephone consultations per participant over an eight week period (number of calls to be negotiated individually with participants).
You will be able to state on your application which parts of which region you are prepared to travel to and work in.
Closing date for the MIDLANDS: 18th September 2017, further details can be found on the CHESS Study webpage: http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/med/research/hscience/ctu/trials/chess/vacancies/
