With the forthcoming move to a new Library and Student Services Centre in the autumn 2017, the Library Services at Royal Holloway, University of London is going through an exciting period of development and change. As a result of this it has given us the opportunity to re-shape and develop our Customer Services area, which includes the addition of three Customer Care Support posts within the Customer Services team.

We are looking for applicants who are enthusiastic, confident, and team-orientated individuals. The post holder(s) will contribute to the delivery of an effective customer-focused library service, including dealing with stock and user account enquires, finding information on resources, providing roving support, assisting customers in using equipment such as Self Service kiosks and participation in stock management activities.

You will have excellent communication skills, and have the ability to work collaboratively to achieve shared goals. You should have previously worked in a customer service environment, have good IT skills, and the ability to communicate with a variety of Library users.

The hours of work are based on full time roles:  Monday – Friday 09:00-17:00. However, 50% Job shares will be considered.

These are full time post on an 11-month fixed term contract, immediately available.  This post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
