This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to work in an expanding nursing department at the University whilst continuing to impact on high quality care in a selected practice area. If you are passionate about the provision of excellent nursing care and confident in your ability to transfer knowledge to pre-registered students in both a practice and classroom setting, then this is the role for you. The successful applicant will work closely with the nursing team at the university and our partners 2Gether Trust to ensure the curriculum reflects contemporary practice and policy, and ensure best practice is reflected in practice education. This role offers the opportunity to use a coaching approach to supporting students and mentors in practice and you will contribute to the development of Collaborative Learning in Practice. You will work closely with the Academic Subject Leader, Placements and Operational Lead (Nursing), Academic Course Leader (Adult) and our collaborative partners to deliver the vision for nurse education and care in Gloucestershire.
We require applicants to be:
- Currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
- Credible in the relevant area of practice
- Enthusiastic and credible in educating others
- Passionate about making a difference for people in our care
- Keen to support nurses of the future to care for themselves in order to care for others
- Committed to contributing to a team vision of creating a ‘Culture of Care’ in nursing for service users, students and colleagues.
