This is an exciting time to be part of UCL’s Global Engagement Office. Under the leadership of the Vice Provost (International) Dr Dame Nicola Brewer, the Office is at the heart of delivering the University’s Global Engagement Strategy (GES). The GES sets out a vision for UCL with the GEO at its core to increase the University’s global impact, with demanding targets up until 2020.

There is now an opportunity to be part of a high-profile, experienced and dynamic team which will implement, deliver and inform this ambitious and distinctive strategy. The post of Partnership Manager, the South East Asia and Australasia has become vacant. The post holder will develop and manage the portfolio of existing and potential partnerships with academics across the University in South East Asia and Australasia under the guidance of Head Global Partnerships Team. In addition the post holder will work on selected partnerships in China. The post is based in London but there will be some overseas travel.

This role is likely to appeal to someone with a strong interest in the internationalisation of higher education who already has some experience in HE or in international relations and is keen to deepen that expertise and develop it as a career. The successful candidate will enjoy working within a fast-paced team to foster effective networks and partnerships to achieve business objectives within established frameworks. To help achieve this, the role benefits from the GEO’s excellent administrative support.

A good first degree is required. This role requires an individual who is knowledgeable about the internationalisation of higher education in the UK, and has experience of building successful international partnerships. They will need to have good project and event management skills.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are essential as well as strong relationship management skills.
