Contract type: 12 month fixed term contract starting 2October 2017 (This post may be extended subject to funding).

Hours: Full time (35 hours). 

This is an analytical role supporting the QualityWatch programme within the Research Team and across the Trust. The focus of your work will be accessing and exploiting existing data which assesses the changing quality of UK health and care services with the aim of helping to drive improvement. 

You will manipulate and analyse many different and large datasets, analysing longitudinal data and focusing on key aspects of changes in care quality. This post will provide the opportunity for you to develop analytical abilities within a dynamic, supportive and highly-skilled team. You will have the chance to reach a wide range of audiences; from policy leaders and decision makers, to front-line clinicians, the academic community and the general public. 

Your essential experiences will include: a proven track record of high-level quantitative analytical ability; the skills to manipulate large datasets or a relevant degree are prerequisite. You must be computer-literate with advanced Excel ability and have a strong interest in creative and novel ways of communicating analytical findings, such as creating data visualisations or infographics. In addition, you will be an excellent communicator, possess well-developed interpersonal skills and be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team. It is important that you promote a culture that values, protects and uses information for the success of the organisation and benefit of its clients/patients.
