Salary: £32,478 - £57,444 plus £2,162 London Weighting Allowance per annum

The Imperial College London Cancer Imaging Centre aims to discover and develop novel imaging biomarkers and technologies that will make a significant impact on patient care in the short to medium term. The Centre is involved in the development and application of positron emission tomography (PET), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasound (US) methods for clinical studies of tumour models. The Centre has been successful in securing 5-year funding through a Medical Research Council (Molecular & Cellular Medicine Board) for a Clinical Research Fellow.

The post holder will work on developing and undertaking projects involving PET technologies for Oncology applications. During the course of the appointment the Clinical Research Fellow will undertake studies potentially leading to a higher research degree. Clinical work will be based in the Oncology clinics and Radiology units at ICHT sites, PET and laboratory facilities at Imperial College’s Hammersmith Campus, as well as well as with collaborators in London.

Applicants must demonstrate how they meet the essential criteria for this post and in particular, have a Degree or equivalent in medicine or similar subject, a Medical qualification with registration at the General Medical Council, evidence of an interest in research and minimum experience equivalent to Specialist Registrar (SPR) level.

This post is full time for a fixed term of 3.5 years.
