Point Blank Music School teaches the creative process of making music at the highest level. Using expert instructors, state-of-the-art facilities and internationally recognised accreditation up to a BA (hons) degree, many successful graduates have passed through our doors including Claude VonStroke, Goldie, Nicole Moudaber, Leona Lewis, AlunaGeorge, Patrick Topping, Gemma Cairney, Mistajam, Dev, Madam X, Monki and Felix Jaehn. The BA (Hons) in Music Production and Sound Engineering is available to study in London and also online via distance learning, all validated by Middlesex University.

We are looking to recruit a course developer to redevelop our current face to face ‘Audio for Games’ module, and create tutorial videos for the online version which launches in April 2018. The main tasks would include:

  • Converting the existing course notes, lesson plans and exercises from Unreal to Unity platform (approx. 100 pages).
  • Creating approx. 120 x 5 minute videos for the online version of the module.
  • Providing Unity projects (either bespoke or public domain) for students to work with for assignments and exercises.
  • This is a 10 week course. Here are the current week titles:

    • Week 1: Game Audio Technology
    • Week 2: Sound Effects (Part 1) - Ambience
    • Week 3: Sound Effects (Part 2) - Gameplay
    • Week 4: Sound Effects (Part 3) - User Interface
    • Week 5: Music (Part 1) - Interactive Music Fundamentals
    • Week 6: Music (Part 2) - Vertical Composition
    • Week 7: Music (Part 3) - Horizontal Resequencing
    • Week 8: Work On Assignment Project
    • Week 9: Work On Assignment Project
    • Week 10: Game Mixing

    A thorough knowledge of the Unity platform is essential for this role.

    Note, this is a level 6 module accredited by Middlesex University. The deadline for completion is April 2018.

    Additionally, there will be opportunity to teach the Audio for Games module both online and face to face.
