Working Time: 17.5 hours per week
Do you have a BA (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject area, such as Fine Art, Art and Design, Contemporary Practice? Do you have knowledge and experience of current and emerging 3D processes (for example, mould-making, casting, 3D printing)? Are you able to instruct and supervise students in a fine art context/environment, working both independently and as part of a team?
As a Workshop Technician in the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies, you will provide support, instruction and advice on the use of equipment, processes and materials employed in various technical aspects of contemporary fine art studio practice, and the related Health and Safety matters, to staff and students within the School. In addition, you will implement an equipment loan system, deal with security and access issues and the general upkeep of School premises on a day-to-day basis.
With a BA (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject area (such as Fine Art, Art and Design, Contemporary Practice), you will have knowledge and experience of current and emerging 3D processes, for example, mould-making, casting, 3D printing. You will have the ability to instruct and supervise students in a fine art context/environment and to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
