The Cambridge Cancer Trials Centre (CCTC) is looking to appoint an experienced Finance Administrator to oversee all aspects of the financial management of this busy clinical trials department. 

We are looking for an organised, pro-active individual to work closely with the Admin team lead and the Trust R&D finance team to provide financial administrative support across the CCTC. Duties will include accurately tracking research activities to pro-actively generate invoicing information. The post holder will also be expected to liaise with Trust departments to ensure that they are reimbursed appropriately for trial activity.

The successful candidate will work with local investigators to provide accurate costing information for the submission of trial grants. Additionally the successful candidate will maintain oversight of income and expenditure including staff funding, providing information to the Trust finance team pro-actively to resolve queries. 

Candidates should have experience of working in an accounts based environment, have excellent attention to detail and be able to work independently to be able to plan and prioritise their own workload. Candidates will be educated to HND or equivalent with experience of using Microsoft Office.

Previous experience in clinical trials is highly desirable but is not essential.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required. Previous knowledge and experience of NHS finance would be an advantage.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2019 in the first instance.
