About the roleReporting to the Head of ICT Supply Chain and Vendor Management, the ICT Procurement Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the University’s ICT sourcing, procurement and vendor management strategies, in line with Procurement Policy, Financial Regulations and overarching University strategic objectives. This is a key stakeholder management position that will lead contract negotiations with internal and external suppliers; driving value for money and ensuring standard University requirements and processes are in place for effective category and contract management. The ICT Procurement Manager also supports on the production of Management Information, contributing to and implementing agreed vendor performance targets.
The post holder must have significant experience in managing large and complex ICT procurements, including leading on contract negotiation and supplier relationship management. In addition, the role requires someone who is commercially and technically adept, with strong management information skills and the ability to motivate and influence large stakeholder communities. Demonstrable communication skills including the ability to execute sourcing strategies and describe complex procurement processes to various audience levels is also critical to your success in this role.
Full or part-qualified CIPS membership is essential.
