Activities of Nottingham Electrical Drives Centre include the design, manufacture and testing of electrical machines and drives. The Centre has a requirement for a skilled and versatile Mechanical Project Engineer to join the team.
The role will involve application of a range of professional engineering skills relating to the development of electrical machines, electrical drives and their test systems. This encompasses all mechanical aspects of the electrical drives system including control and instrumentation.
Customers include internal academic staff and students for research projects, as well as commercial projects dealing directly with industrial partners. Working within a small team, the role holder will assume a signifcant role in implementing design solutions for a range of electrical drive systems projects.
This full time post will be offered on a fixed term contract for a period of 2 years.
