The Computer Games & Digital Arts Group are committed to the delivery of high quality teaching, applied research and a ‘real-world’ learning experience focussed on graduate employability and enterprise.

 Computer games development is a growing area within the Group.  Applications are invited for the position of Senior Lecturer specialising in Computer Games Development to contribute to curriculum development and extend links with the games industry.

 Applicants for this post should be well proven developers in a professional environment. An in-depth knowledge of C++, Object-Oriented development, Graphics Programming (e.g. DirectX/OpenGL/Vulkan) techniques is required. You will have experience of games development in the mainstream or independent sectors. Particularly desirable is expertise in Console development (specifically PS4). Also desirable is expertise in, or a working knowledge in one or more of the following: Artificial Intelligence, VR/AR and Agile development environments.

 Experience of teaching or training would be an advantage, as would postgraduate academic or educational qualifications. However, the confidence to communicate complex technical knowledge and ideas to students, together with the desire to inspire and motivate, is essential.

 Course Leadership may be available for the successful candidate if appropriately experienced and qualified.

 Applicants should have a willingness to be involved in research and/or enterprise within the group.
