The Learning Technology Unit
Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences
The University of Auckland has an exciting opportunity for a Professional Teaching Fellow (Learning Designer) to join and contribute to the success of our Medical and Health Sciences faculty on a part time (0.6FTE) basis.
The Learning Technology Unit team shares its pedagogical and technological expertise with University staff to enhance teaching and learning within the faculty.
The opportunity
- You will be delivering teaching material to staff through diverse formats including face-to-face, blended and online
- You will be a part of the transformation of teaching and learning in the faculty
- You will work collaboratively and develop relationships with a range of stakeholders
- You will be given the flexibility to be self-directed in your work
- You will work with faculty staff to develop online and blended teaching and learning materials for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have a master’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline (preferred)
- Have appropriate experience teaching in a tertiary environment
- Possess expertise in the use of learning technologies, flexible delivery modalities and learning technology selection
- Be confident in interacting with various stakeholders
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be a team player, who is excited about the prospect of working in an enthusiastic, dynamic team
- Have strong MS Office skills. Experience with Chalk and Wire, Canvas LMS, Articulate Presenter, CourseBuilder or similar softwares is preferred
