The School of Business, Management and Economics (BMEc) is seeking to appoint a Senior Quality and Enhancement Officer to manage the quality assurance and enhancement processes relating to taught courses within the undergraduate and postgraduate portfolio.
The School is ranked
- 4th for Accounting and Finance
- 6th for Economics
- 9th for Business Studies in the UK.
The School has a portfolio of 30 courses across its three departments of Business and Management, Economics and SPRU (Science Policy Research Unit).
At undergraduate level, there is the offer of placements and study abroad and at postgraduate there are both generalist and specialist MSc courses.
The Senior Quality and Enhancement Officer is a new role and will work with the Director of Teaching and Learning (DTL) and Director of Student Experience (DoSE) to develop and deliver the School Teaching and Learning Strategy.
Quality enhancement will be delivered by the sharing of best practice as part of the quality assurance processes which will be disseminated across the School. The Senior Quality and Enhancement Officer will work with the DTL and the Technology Enhanced Learning team to develop technology enabled enhancements.
The Senior Quality and Enhancement Officer will be responsible for the quality assurance of the curriculum and its ongoing development and improvement, via the annual review process.
The quality aspects relate to compliance with both University policy and regulations as well as the QAA, UKVI and Data Protection.
The Senior Quality and Enhancement Officer will work with the DTL and DoSE on the analysis of NSS data and progression and degree award results and outcomes data. They will line manage the Curriculum and Assessment team and work closely with the Student Experience team.
We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic and well-organised administrator, who is a good team member, with proven project management skills. The ability to take a lead, manage projects and staff, and work effectively under pressure, will be essential.
The successful candidate will have an aptitude for detailed work, problem solving and self-management. Knowledge of HE policy and regulations is desirable.
