We are seeking an individual to maintain and develop our education liaison initiatives which promote higher education.
The successful candidate will implement the cross-University approach to education liaison work. It is the link between schools / colleges and is responsible for significant areas of work and projects linked to targeted widening participation and generic recruitment activities. You will manage, deliver and monitor initiatives as we seek to increase progression and success in higher education.
Liaising with all schools and colleges, and in particular those offering post-16 provision, the post holder will have project management skills as well as an awareness of, and keen interest in the widening participation agenda.
Educated to degree level, with experience working in a role supporting progression to Higher Education, you will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills. You will also have extensive experience of report writing and of written, numerical and analytical work.
The role will require occasional evening and weekend working and regular travel within the local region; therefore, you will need to be flexible to travelling and working outside of office hours. A full UK/EU driving licence is essential to the post.
The role requires compliance with the University’s Safeguarding Policies including the requirement for an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
