The Faculty of Science and Technology seeks to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and broadly trained Demonstrator to support the areas of anthropology and archaeology in education, research and enterprise.

You will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject and ideally bring expertise in Human Osteoarchaeology. You will also have knowledge and background in at least one of the following areas: Forensic Anthropology, Biological Anthropology, and Archaeology.

Preferably having experience of working in a university environment, you will deliver the Department’s laboratory and field based education in those areas and may provide supervisory support for student research projects at undergraduate and Master’s level.

You will also have experience in working on laboratory- and/or field-based projects. You will be responsible for the human and animal remains collections and will be aware of related ethical and curatorial requirements.

This is a fixed term appointment for one year.
