We are seeking to appoint a part-time (60% FTE) Research Ethics Administrator (Social Sciences and Humanities) to join our Research Ethics and Integrity Team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent organisational skills, who will have a vital role to play in supporting the University’s commitment to the highest ethical standards of research involving human participants.

We require someone with a flexible and professional approach to take on a range of duties, which will include providing specialised administrative support and the processing of applications to the University’s Social Sciences and Humanities Interdivisional Research Ethics Committee (SSH IDREC). Working as part of a small team, you will also provide assistance to the Research Ethics Manager (Social Sciences and Humanities) in servicing meetings of the SSH IDREC and of the departmental research ethics (DREC) network and organising training sessions or seminars.

You will possess a high level of computer literacy and previous administrative experience. You will have excellent writing skills, be able to work accurately and with attention to detail, be able to use your own initiative and meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with a flexible approach to work and a willingness to learn new skills, are also essential.

This is an interesting and varied post and you will be required to liaise with people at all levels who are both internal and external to the University.

This post is part-time, based in Research Services offices in Wellington Square, Oxford. Flexible working arrangements will be considered.
