Detail information about job Senior College Research Officer. Terms and conditions vacancy
Lincoln is a university looking to the future where we serve and develop our local, national and international communities by creating purposeful knowledge & research, confident & creative graduates and a dynamic & engaged workforce. We will achieve this through a culture of enterprise and innovation.
Research & Enterprise is a central professional support department which works with staff, industry, external partners, students and graduates to drive:
- A dynamic research environment
- Increased levels of graduate employment and progression
- Innovation & productivity levels throughout our region.
We use all these elements together and separately to build wide and deep external partnerships, further developing our role as an ‘active anchor institution’.
Since its establishment in 2011, Research & Enterprise has supported growth in activity and impact such as a doubling in external bidding activity and HEBCI related income and a fivefold increase in student employability interactions. The University has changed significantly during this period and with the development and implementation of a new University Strategic Plan responding to a changing external environment (e.g. Brexit, UKRI etc.) we now have exciting opportunities to create a new model of support for our customers.
Working alongside the Research Development Officers, this position is an integral part of the Research & Industrial Partnerships team, providing the first point of contact for the 4 Colleges of Arts, Science, Social Science and the Lincoln International Business School. The role will contribute to the University’s wider research goals, through identification of potential funding sources, support for the preparation and submission of external funding applications, stakeholder engagement, researcher development, and supporting project completion including reporting and audit.
We are seeking to recruit dynamic, proactive, innovative individuals to this post, and other positions within the department, to help drive and build further success.
This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2, therefore we can only accept applications from candidates who already have the right to work in UK.
