The School of Engineering and Materials Science is offering an appointment for graduates with an Engineering, Materials Science or related background to provide assistance for undergraduate teaching activities. The Teaching Associate team supports the academic staff in the delivery of high-quality education support in the classroom and the laboratory, to include student tutoring, assessment of coursework, and facilitating key skills and problem based learning activities. The post holder will also be involved in the School’s Outreach activities. This is a valuable opportunity to obtain a wide range of teaching experience.

As part of your contract you have the opportunity to be enrolled on the Certificate in Learning and Teaching (CILT) programme organised by the Queen Mary University of London Academic Development department.

This a full time, permanent post, available from early October 2017, with a starting salary in the range of £32,956 to £38,709 per annum, depending on previous experience.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
