We seek a highly motivated individual to join the External Reporting team responsible for the preparation and submission of student-related data to the Higher Education Statistics Agency and the Education and Skills Funding Agency. You will be responsible for reviewing and validating data on the student record system, undertaking bulk updates and liaising with other staff as necessary to ensure data is complete, valid and up-to-date. You will assist in planning the annual cycle of returns and be required to develop and maintain an excellent understanding of the requirements of the returns to external bodies, and the implications of these for the University.
You will be educated to at least degree level or have particularly strong relevant work experience. You will be IT literate, preferable including experience of a large multi-user database or student record system. The ability to query, manipulate, analyse and summarise large data sets is essential, as is the ability to understand and communicate complex and sometimes technical information. Relevant work experience within the higher education sector will be an advantage but is not essential.
