Do you want to make a difference to young people's futures?
Have you seen the value of higher education and now want to promote this to school/college students?
Are you interested in gaining experience on an exciting and innovative national programme?
This internship offers an invaluable opportunity to work with the Higher Education Progression Partnership South Yorkshire (HeppSY+) which aims to support disadvantaged young people (Y9 to Y13) to progress into HE.
Placed in one of our South Yorkshire partner colleges or schools, you will play a full part in the coordination, delivery, and evaluation of the HeppSY+ programme, attending events across the South Yorkshire region. This role will provide a solid and varied foundation to many careers working with young people.
Hear from our current graduate interns, the Director of HEPP, and other staff within the team to find out more about HeppSY+, what the job involves, development opportunities, and application tips.
What experience and skills does a Graduate Intern need?
The ability and confidence to engage an audience of young people is essential, alongside excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills; a positive and flexible approach; and the ability to work accurately and independently.
Applications are particularly welcomed from graduates with experience of studying in a further education college/sixth form setting, with local knowledge of South Yorkshire, perhaps gained from undertaking study in a local college.
